Perform flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation Regulations in accordance with the approved Training Course Outline, ensuring that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students.
Regularly provide instruction to each assigned student to ensure satisfactory progress through the course and immediately inform supervisor of any delays in training or satisfactory progress.
Responsible for accurately maintaining all appropriate records to include student training record, student logbook, and computer records.
Monitor the maintenance condition of the training aircraft, and inform Chief of Maintenance of any questionable items. Filing incident reports as necessary to report any observed safety violations, or situations that may affect the safety of flight.

Qualification Standards
Hold a current Flight Instructor certificate and meet all requirements specified in 14 CFR § 61.195 for providing instruction for the initial flight instructor certificate.
Hold a commercial pilot certificate or an airline transport pilot certificate.
The certificates must contain the appropriate category, class, and instrument ratings for each category and class of aircraft used.

Meets pilot-in-command recent flight experience requirements of § 61.57
Provided more than 700 hours flight instruction given
Must have endorsed five applicants for a pilot certificate with a first attempt, 80 percent pass rate
Current Class III medical
Performance Standards & EEO Statement
1. Two (2) years of experience or more working in a Part 141 aviation program.
2. Two (2) years of experience or more working in a University/Collegiate flight training program with self-examining authority.
3. Meets the Check Airman qualifications under 14 CFR § 141.37
4. Hold a commercial pilot certificate or an airline transport pilot certificate.
