Job Description

The Pilot in Command is the critical component in a successful flight program.
The Pilot in Command is at all times directly responsible for and is the final authority as to the operation of the aircraft.
The Pilot in Command must be highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FARs, Operation Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manuals, Training Manuals and other publications pertinent to his or her duties.
Prior to each flight, the Pilot in Command is familiar with all available information concerning the flight.

Minimum Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess a commercial pilot’s license with instrument rating.
Must possess analytical abilities, sound aviation judgment, problem solving skills and the ability to provide guidance for those under his/her supervision.
Must possess above average interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with FAA, staff and hospital personnel.
Must demonstrate leadership skills to participate in professional and community education program and to effectively maintain good public relations, for the institution
ATP preferred or obtained within two years of date of hire
FAA First Class Medical Certificate prior to starting employment
3000 total flight hours.
2000 total helicopter hours
