Responsibilities:
Teach a range of aviation courses, including ground school, flight training, and aviation management
Develop and maintain curriculum for aviation courses, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and industry standards
Provide instruction and guidance to students in the aviation program, including advising and mentoring
Participate in the development and implementation of the aviation program’s strategic plan
Collaborate with other faculty members and industry partners to promote the aviation program and develop new opportunities

Requirements:
Master’s degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field to comport with accreditation standards with the Southern Association of College and Schools: Commission on Colleges (SACS-COC).
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings
Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII) certifications and/or Certified Ground Instructor with Advanced and Instrument ratings
Minimum 2 years of experience as a flight or ground instructor or in a related fieldStrong knowledge of aviation regulations, weather, navigation, aircraft systems, and other relevant topics
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners
Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with online learning platforms and instructional technologies
Instructor experience
