Ensure safe air travel for all passengers.
Establish, maintain, and update records as required by the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR), manufacturers and policies.
Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft’s operation.
Create and maintain close relationships with local airport management teams.
Ensure that preflight inspections are performed with the use of checklists and prepare flight plans.
Study weather conditions at destination, enroute, alternate airports and departure points.
Ensure the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.
Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board, and performance charts.
Make decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate.
Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) for all flights.
Supervise the First Officer (second in command) in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft.
Coordinate the functions of all crewmembers assigned to the flight.
Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
