RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full authority and responsibility for the safe operation of the aircraft for assigned flights
Supervises all crew members assigned to the flight
Verifies that the preflight inspection has been completed prior to departureConfirms that all required equipment, paperwork, and supplies are onboard the aircraft
Completes a weather briefing for departure, enroute, destination, and alternate airports
Reviews aircraft performance, along with calculating weight and balance to ensure that the flight will be conducted within aircraft operating limits
Reports a flight cancellation or diversion to the Dispatcher and Chief PilotCoordinates with lead passenger concerning passenger arrangements
Utilizes cockpit flows and checklists according to the aircraft manufacturer’s guidance

REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid and current FAA Airline Transport Certificate
First Class medical certificate
Restricted radiotelephone operator permit
Current U.S. passport
