Teaching and teaching related administrative responsibilities:
Two Department of Flight FA135 classes during fall, one class during spring and summer semesters at scheduled times AND teach two classes as assigned during fall, spring, and summer semesters at scheduled times.
Organize instructional planning according to objectives in the Aviation English for Flight Training Curriculum.
Oversee the continuous improvement of courses to strengthen their content, to include coverage of all curricula.
Complete and submit syllabi, course plans, diagnostic & final exams, Early & Midterm Alerts, and other required documents by due dates.
Keep attendance records daily online.
Keep grade records and report grades weekly.
Assess student academic progress on an ongoing basis through the use of sufficient and appropriate measures.
Keep office hours and tutor current students as needed.
Provide academic advisement for students including, but not limited to, help with issues with coursework, academic intervention, and success strategies.
Contribute positively to student success and student service in philosophy, attitude, and performance.

Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or closely related field, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics or a related field.
Required Qualifications:
Comfortable using computer technology for administrative and teaching purposes, including learning management systems, virtual meeting platforms, and other online tools.
Minimum of one year of experience teaching at the college level, in a US-based Intensive English Program (IEP).
Experience teaching Aviation English, with a strong understanding of the specific language and communication needs of pilots and aviation professionals.
Experience in second language assessment, with knowledge of best practices for assessing language proficiency and developing assessment tools.
Native or near-native oral and written English fluency, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with the ability to use spreadsheets to track and analyze data.
