Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of aviation and flight courses, coach the Flight Team, collaborate with colleagues in the Air Traffic Control and Aviation Management programs;
Perform progress review flights with students as applicable, and work with the Flight Operations staff at the contracted airport.
The teaching load is typically 12 or more credits per semester.
Applicants should also demonstrate a desire to serve the University community, conduct research, seek external funding, and evidence of enhancing their own professional development.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a Master’s Degree in Aviation and a Federal Aviation Administration Commercial Pilot Rating with Instrument and Certified Flight Instructor ratings that meet Chief Ground Instructor requirements of 14 CFR 141.35(e), with flight currency within one calendar year.
An Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP), Multi-Engine rating, and Certified Flight Instructor-Multi-Engine (MEI); and Instrument Ratings (CFII) are highly desirable, as well as prior safety program and military aviation experience (fixed wing or rotary).
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate previous teaching experience at the university level.
