Job Description

Instruction
Provide instruction in varied learning environments, including but not limited to in-person, online, and hybrid formats.
Maintain currency in innovative teaching pedagogies, instructional technologies, and relevant discipline(s).
Incorporate current technology, appropriate software applications, appropriate pedagogies, and best practices in instructional delivery.
Provide students with continuous, timely, and relevant feedback regarding their performance in coursework; including prompt grading of all coursework and assessments.
Confer with students on course materials, coursework, and assessments.
Evaluate student achievement of clearly identified learning outcomes.
Commit to creating an educational environment that values diversity, promotes equity, and respects multilingualism.

Minimum Requirements

Required QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
Two (2) year degree in flight or related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 750 hours Total Time (TT)
Minimum of 25 hours Actual Instrument Time (Actual)
5-yrs Flight Instructor Experience
Minimum of 3-yrs in the last 5yrs
Minimum of 2-yrs under FAA Part 141
3-yrs Chief or Assistant Chief experience under FAA Part 61 and/or FAA Part 1413-yrs classroom teaching experience in a community college flight program
Licensure or Certification Requirements
FAA 3rd Class Medical Certificate
FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate w/ Instrument Rating
FAA Certified Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)
FAA Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII)
FAA Commercial Pilot Multi-Engine Add-On
Conditions of Employment:
Annual Airport Security Training.
Annual Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Awareness Training.
Maintain all applicable FAA Part 61 & FAA Part 91 requirements for flight instruction.
Successful applicants are required to complete a criminal background check.
