Seeking qualified candidates for a Challenger 604 First Officer based in Bradley, CT (KBDL). This is a 3-pilot account supported by a Maintenance Technician and flying under part 91/135.
Second in Command (SIC) is responsible for execution of flight operations with guidance from the PIC. The ideal candidate is engaging, cooperative, and a dynamic team player dedicated to supporting the needs of the aircraft owner. This individual should have a strong desire to learn and a keen focus on safety.
Qualified candidates must have international experience and live within a two-hour drive . This account flies approximately 350 hours annually and candidates must have the flexibility to work within a dynamic schedule.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Manages important client relationships while balancing needs of client and the company. Proactively communicates as required to address current or potential issues or opportunities.
Supports flight department crew members in their understanding of what needs to be done and motivates people to achieve account goals while representing the company brand. Reports concerns or issues to Chief Pilot or Director of Safety.
Will oversee aircraft supply, participate in maintaining crew schedules.
Ensures the Safe Operation of Flight:
Ensures crewing and trip assignments are compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Completes flight planning, performance and weight and balance tasks for each assignment, as required.
Complies with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinates with company personnel as required.
Completes all aircraft pre-flight tasks, including the maintenance status of the aircraft, to ensure the aircraft is mission capable. Records all aircraft discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
Ensures all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are monitored and accomplished in accordance with SOPs.
Utilizes Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate with crew and support personnel clearly and in a timely manner during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
